I have to be honest, I have no idea why I'm doing this (again).
Is it my constant need to share ? to expose my self out there, open and wounded, no masks.
Some would say I just have a strong need for attention and love by others (or pathetic in other words).
Not sure which one is it yet, or perhaps I am sure, but not ready to share that small piece of information yet.
Anyway, this blog is actually a translation of my original blog which I wrote in Hebrew, it started in September 2009 when we went on a family trip to the US, it was a simple platform to share our trip experiences with the family.
It evolved with time to something else, it evolved once again to a platform for me to spill it all out.
As the blog title says, I am A bereaved father, Next month on February 21st 2011, it will be 4 years since I lost my first born son, my angel, Rotem Engel.
An amazing boy, he was the happiest kid in the world, he a had a short life, full of challenges, sickness, hospitalizations, music, laughter, smiles, joy, happiness and endless love.
He died a month and change before his 6th birthday, 5 days before his brother was 1 year old, 3 months before his second brother was born.
His life, his death, is something that has, is and always will shape my life, my personality, my fatherhood.
This blog is an echo of my thoughts, about him, about my other 3 sons, about life.
Hope you find it true, touching, fulfilling, eye-opening, embracing, brave, no B.S, sad...something you can relate to anyway.
It will take me some time, I will start with translating my old posts to new ones here in English....see what happens. Maybe it will trigger more writing, new one that is, I haven't written since September 21st 2010.
